A bombing was reported in Kyauktada Township, Yangon on 31 May 2022 at a city bus stop. It is reported that at least 7 people were injured, including one foreigner. Myanmar Witness has verified the location of a bomb explosion in downtown Yangon on 31 May 2022 near a bus stop. The coordinates are 16.776929, 96.160537.

The military council and pro-military supporters blamed the Peoples Defence Force for this attack.
