SAC troops allegedly burnt down multiple buildings in Tone Kyaw village, Tamu in Sagaing at around 2330 on 08 December 2023.

It is claimed that residential and religious buildings were damaged.

Footage shared by a personal Facebook account appears to show several buildings engulfed by flames.

Timestamps suggest that the fire was still active in the early hours of 09 December 2023.

Myanmar Witness has geolocated images which show significant structural damage at 5 sites in the village, consistent with claims of arson.
